Consumers are again taking on debt when it comes to their vehicles.
Across the country, auto bank and auto finance debt rose 7.1 percent, compared with the same period a year ago, according to new Credit Trends data released by Equifax. The auto lending trends look different for different parts of the country.

JM Family Enterprises Inc. announced the promotion of Dan Chait to president of World Omni Financial Corp.
Chait joined World Omni in 2002 after holding senior-level positions at US Airways, AutoNation and UniCaptial Corp. He most recently served as senior vice president of World Omni working closely with Frank Armstrong, who is retiring as president of the company.
