Toyota Says Corolla is Best-Selling Car in 2012, Not Ford Focus  Apr 10th, 2013
The folks at Ford celebrated yesterday after a report crowned the Focus as the world’s best-selling nameplate in 2012. Toyota, however, is refuting that claim and says that the Corolla outsold the Focus. Ford made the announcement after R.L Polk & Co. released data that showed the Focus at 1.02 million worldwide sales last year. [...]

Spotted: Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG Performance Crossover  Apr 10th, 2013
Mercedes-Benz intends to put its new MFA platform and 2.0-liter turbo four to good use: we caught the GLA45 AMG — the third of three hopped-up A-Class models — testing on the Nurburgring. There’s no denying that this is the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class: the car has the familiar bold, blunt grille from the CLA-Class/A-Class, along with [...]

While four-wheel-drive off-road-ready SUVs with diesel power seems like a no-brainer to enthusiasts, few automakers offer that combination. For the 2014 model year, Jeep has joined that exclusive party with the refreshed Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel. To see how well it fares, host Jonny Lieberman compares the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel with the 2013 Volkswagen [...]

2013 Scion FR-S LT Update 7: TRD Parts Galore  Apr 10th, 2013
Boxer engines are usually love-it or hate-it affairs. Personally, I love the rumble of a good, flat engine. Notice I said “good,” because up until recently, our long-term Scion FR-S’ little 2.0-liter F-4 didn’t sound so hot. Nothing was wrong with the engine, but its soundtrack left a bit to be desired. So we contacted [...]

Now the automaker is calling on the Detroit Three to uphold their end of the deal, claiming that all automakers agreed to start using the J2807 procedure by the start of [...]

Chrysler recalls Jeep Patriot Compass to fix fuel tank problem SUVs can run out of gas  Apr 10th, 2013

DETROIT - Chrysler is recalling about 30,000 small SUVs because a faulty hose inside the gas tank can cause them to run out of fuel.
