| Small Business Owners Feel Better |

The National Federation of Independent Business' Index of Small Business Optimism rose 2.6 points to 92.1 in April, just above the recovery average of 90.7.
In April's report, 4 index components rose, 2 fell and 4 were unchanged. Yet pessimism abounds within the sector, as still far more of those surveyed expect business conditions to be worse in six months than those who think they will be better.

The National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC) Board of Directors elected officers at its 9th Annual Member Conference held at The Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, Calif. Oren Tasini of Haile, Shaw & Pfaffenberger, P.A. was elected president, replacing former President Patty Covington of Hudson Cook, LLP. Stephen Linzer of Tiffany & Bosco, P.A. and Diane Cafritz of CarMax were elected vice presidents. Andrew Weill of Benjamin, Weill & Mazer was elected treasurer and Tom Hudson of Hudson Cook LLP was elected secretary. The officers will serve two-year terms.

Chrysler Group LLC is recalling 295,345 model year 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured Feb. 11, 2004, through March 9, 2010; and 2006-2010 Jeep Commander vehicles manufactured Jan. 31, 2005, through March 10, 2010.

James Harry Lawrence, a member of the National Auto Auction Association Hall of Fame, died May 2. He was 90.
Lawrence served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He then attended the Johns Hopkins University, graduating in 1951 with a degree in political economy.

Fitch Ratings has maintained Ally Financial Inc.'s long-term Issuer Default Rating and senior unsecured debt rating of 'BB-' on Rating Watch Negative.
The ratings were first placed on Rating Watch Negative on May 15, 2012; following the bankruptcy filing by Ally's wholly owned subsidiary Residential Capital LLC.
