Toyota experienced a strong sales month in Tacoma and Tundra trucks. Toyota sold nearly 208,000 vehicles in the U.S. in May, which represents a 2.5 percent improvement over May 2012 sales. According to Equifax's latest National Consumer Credit Trends Report, balances on outstanding auto loans totaled $798 billion as of April, an increase of more than 8 percent from same time a year ago and a 51-month high. The total number of loans stands at 59.8 million, nearly a four-year high.

Copart Inc. reported financial results for the quarter ended April 30.
For the three months, revenue, operating income and net income were $277.6 million, $82.8 million and $53.2 million, respectively. These represent an increase in revenue of $33.5 million; and decreases in operating income of $5.1 million; and in net income of $2.2 million, respectively, from the same quarter last year.
