The NADA Used Car Guide reports that the average trade-in price of used vehicles up to 8 years old slipped from $15,320 last year to $15,263 in May year-to-date.

| Former Office Manager Goes to Prison for Fraud |

 The former office manager of a Nissan store will spend four months in prison and has been ordered to pay more than $100,000 for defrauding her former employer.
Dianne Handy, of Alexandria, La., was sentenced to four months in prison with five years of supervised release and was ordered to pay $101,017 in restitution for defrauding Leglue Nissan. Handy was the office manager for Leglue.

| Small Business Confidence Rebounds |

 For the second consecutive month, small-business owner confidence edged up.
The National Federation of Independent Business' Index of Small Business Optimism increased by 2.3 points to a final reading of 94.4 in May, the second highest since the recession started in December 2007.
